Spring, glorious spring, is finally here. At least that is what my calendar says. Friday was fabulous....just what spring should be. Saturday morning was ok....but then it happened. Clouds rolled in, the temperature dropped and I awoke this morning to 46 degree weather and no sun. Enough already!
I did wake up to some good news. On the front page of the Post & Courier today, there is an article about the housing market showing signs of a spring thaw. Click
here to read that article in full.
I have pasted a small excerpt from the article below.
"There are signs that buyers are budding. Real estate agents from all over the Lowcountry said open houses are full and they are busier with showings than they have been in months. The Charleston Metro Area Chamber of Commerce expects almost 13,000 homes to change hands this year, a 6 percent increase from 2007. The chamber said activity is poised to pick up thanks to attractive mortgage rates, a relatively healthy local economy and demand from out-of-town buyers. And don't forget it's spring — the peak season for folks looking to feather a new nest."There are also some interesting articles in this month's real estate newsletter as well. One on "Timing is Everything: When & How to Move" and another on "Home Equity Protection". Click
here or go to my
website and click on the E-Newsletter tab at the top of the page.
I hope your Easter was beautiful and peaceful. If you are not experiencing that spring like weather now, don't give up, it is coming your way soon.
