These days it is hard to find good news in the real estate market along the Charleston Coast. You see and hear all kinds of numbers and though it can be discouraging for sellers currently in the market, the silver lining in all this is that there are still buyers out there looking and looking and looking...some are actually buying. You just have to be competitive in your pricing.
I ran some numbers for the island & downtown markets, comparing the number of sales for the first 7 months of 2007 with the first 7 months of 2008 and then ran the average percentage difference in list price vs sold price for those same markets, year to date.
It is not great news, I know, but the market is the market and we have to work with what we have. I hope you will give me a call to discuss any questions.
